Home 2011 update asking for activation code after update. I have my 2011 code but when I add it for activation, it asks for another. Where is it?

Hello Rob,

I assume you have been upgrading from ATIH2010, do you have serial number for it? You should enter that one and it will be working fine. Btw if you have ever registering your product with Acronis, then please log in into your account at acronis.com, serial number for 2010 should be there.

Hello Rob,

The program asks for a serial number for a previous version of Acronis True Image, i.e. please enter the licenses in the following order:

1) Acronis True Image Home 2011 Upgrade

2) Acronis True Image Home 2010

You can obtain the serial numbers after logging in to your account.

Thank you.

Roman, there is a problem, at least with the auto update version of the latest build. It requires reactivation even if 2011 is already installed on the PC.

Hello Jon,

Thank you for your post. I will do my best to assist you.

Could you please provided additional information regarding this issue.

If I understand correctly, after updating to the latest build - 6574 and performing the activation as per this issue, if you go to Help->Check for updates, the program asks for re-activation again?

Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

No Anton, once reactivated all is fine. I was just pointing out that even users of 2011 have to reactivate their product after installing this update. This should not be necessary and I can see it is causing a lot of issues.

If, like me, you acquired your ATIH2011 serial numbers by upgrading from a disk vendor's imaging software, this workaround doesn't work because the software you're upgrading from is free and has no serial number.

Acronis should just do the right thing and release a build that fixes this egregious, embarrassing,  user-hostile bug.

Thank you to Anton for resolving this issue by providing me with full serial numbers.
