How can it be so small?

Thread needs solution

My Windows 7 C drive uses 54GB but when I back it up with ATI 2012 the backup is only 14 GB!!!

The compression is set to normal.

How can it be so small? Is it backing up the operating system?

Try this method. Note figures 3-4-5 which will get everything. YOu can expect the backup to be about 65-70% used space. Your backup size does not sound normal for the system partition.

Grover,

I'm not so sure the image size is that far out, admittedly I'm using ABR11, but my OS drive is 60GB and a full standard compression image is about 18GB which is about right - standard compression is about 3:1.

@Arizona Willie

Have you tried Exploring or mounting the image to check if everything seems to be where it should be?

Yes the size looks about right for the Win7 OS by itself and maybe a few apps.
