how to consolidate multiple incremental backups?

Thread needs solution

hello
I have 1 full backup + about 60 incremental backups, and I'd like to consolidate them in just 1 full backup + 6 incremental backups

Is it possible to do that at this time?

My idea was to mount, for instance, SystemBackup10.tib as a drive letter, then do an incremental backup relative to the first backup (SystemBackup.tib), in a different directory

the problem is that, since it's a mounted image, true image doesn't recognize is as a partition

any ideas?

PS: I'm on true image v11

I am not familiar with v11. If there is no consolidation feature, I'd suggest you just start a new backup and delete your current chain when it is old enough.
In general you should not have 60 incrementals. The rule of thumb is that your last full should never be too old for you to go back to. If today you don't feel comfortabl restoring your last full, you have too many partials.

If your problem is that doing a full takes too much time, you should reconsider your data organization and/or backup strategy.
If your problem is that doing full backups take too much space, I really think you should consider buying a bigger backup disk.
