how to create a bootable CD when the default bootable image fails

Thread needs solution

The default bootable image CD hanged at "Please wait ... " when I picked 1. True Image when Acronis True Image UEFI Loader presented the menu.

It turned out that you can create bootable CD with command line option.
Make sure that you have build 6514 or later of True Image 2013.
Just add the following command line option:

noapci acpi=off

(it is confusing, apci and acpi! but this is no mistake.)

I was able to get the True image screen after this command line added.
My laptop is HP Envy TouchSmart Quad Edtion. By the way, Bluetooth
mouse does not work when you boot from the CD. Make sure that you have
a USB mouse.

Good luck for you.

This has been discussed a hundred times in the forum. Try newly downloading the Rescue Media ISO (listed as Bootable Media) from your Acronis.com account. The web site lists it as the same build number as previously, but is actually newer build 6528. It fixes the wireless keyboard/mouse issue and the GPT disk issue. The fixes are only in the new build of the Rescue Media, as no new Windows version has been released.
