Tom,

Which version of ATI are your using? Which version of Windows?

2011 Update 1 (build 6696)
Windows 7 Home Premium Version 6.1 (Build 7601, Service Pack 1)

Is your question different here? You have another post...

Different question. I am trying to clear up the clutter I now have on my external hard drive after failed backups. The ATI backup jobs that orginally created these files have long gone so this cannot be done through the UI?

No.
If you played around quite a bit with your backup settings, here is what I would do:

- delete the backup files you don't want to keep,
- move the backup files in a folder "eg: "OldBackups" on the same disk.
- right click on that folder, choose "hide". No need to hide subfolders and files
- uninstall ATI
- reboot
- install ATI.

This will reset the database.

From there, recreate the tasks you want.

After a while, you can unhide your "oldbackups" folder. ATI won't add the various archives files to the backup list. If it does, you can use "remove from the list" to remove them.
