How do I purge online backup after subscription expires?

I have ATIH 2012 and tried the free 30 day subscription to online backup. I uploaded some files just to try it out but never really did anything with it. After my subscription expired, the entry under Backup and Recovery still shows, with the message, "The last backup has failed." I can not delete this entry.
When I click on the Online Backup icon at the top of the screen, a window opens titled, "Configure online backup process."
In the "Destination" area of this window is an error message that states, "XML parsing error: line:1, column:4". The Knowledge Base has no record of this error message.
At the bottom of this window is a link to Backup Options. None of the entries or changes I make there will stick, I keep getting the same parsing error.
What I want to do should be simple, I want to reset ATIH so that it no longer knows or cares that I ever attempted to use online backup.
