How to prolong F11 prompt on bootup?
Acronis True Image 2013 build 6514
Windows 7 x64 Home
I activated the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager. During bootup, I see the POST screen and then it goes black and then the loading screen as Windows starts to load. I don't see a message saying "Press F11 for Acronis Recovery Manager". However, after the POST screen finishes painting, I can keep tapping the F11 key to get Acronis Recovery Manager to load.
The problem is the F11 message is missing to prompt me for when I can hit that key or it flashes on and off so quickly as to be effectively invisible.
- When activated, is the Acronis Recovery Manager supposed to show a "Press F11 key" message after the POST screen but before Windows starts to load?
- If so, is that a way to prolong the "Press F11 key" message so I can see it?
I know that folks that have switched from HDD to SSD for the OS partition have encountered problems with seeing messages that flash by too quickly during computer bootup. However, I'm still using an HDD so it isn't a problem of a super-fast SSD making messages disappear too quickly. Right after the POST screen finishes (and then gets replaced by the black screen), Windows is loading immediately. I don't get to see a "Press F11 key" message and I would really want to see that prompt. I'm not keen on having to repeatedly tap the F11 key at the end of the POST hoping to trigger the load of Acronis Recovery Manager.
