How to remove backup tasks

Thread needs solution

I have TI Home 2011 with latest update installed. I have a number of backup tasks set to back up the various fixed & external drives that I have. I have now reconfigured/reorganised my PC and want start my back up system afresh. To this end I need to remove all the existing back up tasks and set new ones. When I go to the "My Backups" page and select a task to remove I click on Operations > More > Remove from List I get the error message "Failed to remove: error while checking integrity of disk" It then tells me to try the Knowledge Base, which doesn't help or go to http://kb.acronis.co/errorcode/ and then quotes a very long error code which yields no results when entered.
How do I remove backup tasks please?

1. I do suggest that you do error checking on all your drives.
2. You could additionally restart the install file and choose the repair option.
3. It is expected that the next release of a new build will include an "My Backups" option to remove some or all tasks from the listing of tasks. The current build provides for only the individual removal and new build is expected to allow bulk removal. No release date set for release of a next build but it is expected in the not too distant future.

Not sure which disk/download to do the repair from, original was 2010 Home which was upgraded to 2011 Home and today that was updated to latest build.

When using the repair option, you use the download file for the build you have installed.

To check your disk for errors (at least within XP),
Click on Explorer icon
Right click on each drive listed (start with Drive C)
Choose Properties
Click on Tools
Click on the Error checking button
Click on Check Now
Checkmark both options to fix and to scan for bad sectors
Click on Start Now
A reboot will probably be necessary.
Repeat the procedure for each of the remaining partitions.
