How to set "Do not schedule" in 'Disk Backup Options - Validation' as default
Hello,
is there a way to set "Do not schedule" as default for the validation of backups?
Thanks,
G.J.

I agree, this is a bug. The scheduled validation is a major inconvenience as it makes the computer unresponsive at shutdown. I guess I will switch to Genie9 Timeline for my data backups and use True Image only for system backups until this bug is fixed. Too bad, I just bought a 3-pack.

I have been using Genie Timeline for a while and I just switched to SyncBack. Syncback is feature-rich so there is a learning curve.
Genie Timeline is a wonderful and easy to use program to backup content. I used it for a couple of years. But I had the following issues:
- pretty slow to backup (6 hours versus 3.5 hours with the predecessor Genie Backup mirror function, uncompressed, unencrypted)
- impossible to manage older version/deleted files retention rules: the backup grows ever bigger; impossible to "contain" the backup
- impossible to encrypt certain files, but not the others,
- when encrypted, the files are in a zip container with a proprietary password. You need Genie to open it and give Genie the password. Too risky.
- impossible to vary your backup frequency, number of versions to keep or retention rules: there is only one set of settings for your entire backup.
