HP EliteBook 8530P

Thread needs solution

When booting my laptop off a recorvery DVD it will boot to screen where you can select to start true image home edition. Then when I select this option it starts to load, but then just hangs at the black screen with the acronis logo forever. The image that the machine came with was replaced with a clean windows 7 install.

What version and build of True Image did you use to make the DVD? Try it on another computer and see if it gets past where it hangs on your laptop. If you have any usb devices including hubs or any wireless devices connected to the laptop, disconnect them for now and see if the dvd boots fully.

I have done all the obvious troubleshooting already. please, i want to know if there is any known issues with the acronis and HP laptops in general. Thanks.

Hello Shawn and DwnNDrty,

I will surely help you and resolve the issue you have experienced.

Shawn, most probably, there are some compatibility issues with Acronis Loader and a particular hardware configuration. So to fix the issue I've sent you a Private Message with a download link to a bootable media based on an alternate bootloader - ISOLINUX. It also includes the most recent hardware drivers, so it should definitely work for you.

Please let me know if the issue is not fixed, I'll be glad to help you.

Thank you.

Hello Marko,

I've replied to your Private Message with the instructions on how to download the ISO image. You can also check this KB article.

Thank you.
