incomplete restore

Thread needs solution

I caught a trojan a couple of days ago. In the process of removing it with McAfee my settings didn't come back properly. I restored my full back True Image 2013 from 1 June and things are almost there. However, I am left with two issues.
1. On boot up I get the image kbm-1375 which shows the Acronis loader has a problem. If I hit return the boot program keeps going. I tried reactivating the startup resort manager and the secure zone but without success.
2. When I tried to run chkdsk I see the image kbm-1376. There appear to be no Windows System Restore points - I suppose that is Acronis' job.

I have not installed any programs for months. Also I have daily incremental backups as far back as mid May and a full back up to 16 May. Should I copy my data files to another disk and try and reinstall the one of the mid May backups or is there a better way.

Keithinoz,

Originally had you activated the Acronis Start Up Manager and the Secure Zone?

Is the image that you have restored, stored in the Secure Zone?

From the recovery CD, try deactivating the ASRM, but if your images are in the SZ, don't delete that or you'll lose everything.
