Incremental image size
Can someone help a newb.
Set up the software to do daily incremental backups.
Its all worked well apart from a query on the image size. My initial System disk size awas only 17Gb, but the two incremenets have been 1.5Gb & 2.3 GB.
I appreciate that a lot of system files get changed, but I wanted to check to see that I wasn't backing up unnecessary files. (incidentally there has not been a defrag done in between).
Although I can see the contents of the backup in Explorer, it would take too long to find what is in there manually since there are so many sub-directories.
Windows search does not work properly on the .tib file. Is there a .tib file viewer that would enable me to see inside the archive easily so I can identify if I can exclude any more file types.
Thanks

That doesn't help. It only lets me see the entire image, not just the latest increment.
Does anyone know a way to see inside just the latest increment?
Thanks

Hello Colin McDonald,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.
Unfortunately, there's no way to check incremental backup contents with current version of the product, the product will always show contents of entire chain. The product just compares hash values of files from backup with the files from your HDD, and then creates a backup of all files not matching with values from backup.
Anyway, I have forwarded this situation to the responsible person, so probably we will implement it in the future. Thank you very much for understanding!
Thank you.
