Inoperable Ethernet Port After Cloning "C" Drive??
First off.....Acronis has more than paid for itself 100X over the years for me!!!
Now here's my problem......I have cloned my "C" drive in my laptop with ZERO issues but when I clone the "C" drive in my Win 7 Pro desktop and select "shutdown" after cloning I have NO ETHERNET PORT upon restart!! Each time I have unplugged and opened the computer to check for problems, hook it back up and VOILA it works again!! WHAT AM I MISSING??
In 4 tries I have the same Ethernet problem and also a report of the USB Cloned Drive having errors!!
HELP!!
Thanks!!

Hi Jack,
Can you confirm you are disconnecting the source disk before restarting and booting from the newly cloned disk?
Also have a question about your configuration. You are cloning two desktop drives I assume. What do errors on a USB disk have to do with the cloning operation being performed?
If you are having difficulty cloning, I suggest you make a complete image of the source disk, and restore that image to the new disk. Perform this operation using Acronis bootable media.
Thanks
