Is it still possible to backup only full images?

Thread needs solution

Hello:

It seems to me that Acronis is doing its best to prevent users from backing up *only* full images. Well, like it or not, that is what I want to do.

The latest is that Acronis has made it impossible to set "Create a new full backup after 9 (zero) incremental or differential backups. Now, the lowest number that is possible to set is "1".

So, since there is no straight-forward way to say "Create full backup and delete the oldest when the 5th (or whatever number one prefers) is backed up, is there still any roundabout way to achieve the same?

Thanks,

Hans L

PS. Acronis, stop telling us users what to do. Let us do what we want!!!

Hans,

Which version and build of TIH are you referring to?

This could easily be achieved using Chain2Gen (C2G) which is a helper program for TrueImageHome (TIH). C2G was written by forum contributor MVP Oracledba

TrueImage runs the tasks which does the scheduling and creates the backups, whereas, C2G provides the controls on when the full backup should be created. or how many to be retained. C2G offers many choices.
