Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 10 - No Hard Drive Found

Thread needs solution

Hello, I'm currently using Acronis True Image 2014 Premium. I downloaded the latest version while installing and then created a rescue media USB drive.

It successfully boots to Acronis on a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 10 but I get a message right away that "True Image has not found any hard disk drive". The reference error code is "0x000101F4+0x000A01FD" but it does not come up with any results on http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/

Does anyone have any suggestions? The ThinkPad 10 is fairly new so I'm wondering if Acronis needs to update their software to recognize the drive?

Thanks.

Your device uses eMMC integrated storage. ATI does not recognize such storage medium.

Hello, thank you for the reply.

We have been using this version of Acronis on the Lenovo Tablet 2's as well, which also have eMMC storage and we have no issue with those.

Here's a link that shows supported storage media:

I suspect your issue with the tablet is how it reports the eMMC storage device to the OS and ultimately to ATI. For example, some USB thumb drives do not report themselves correctly so they cannot be used. This is probably true for the PC card devices as well. I am not aware of any workarounds for the situation.

Thank you for the info. Holding out hope that this will get resolved in a future ATI update.
