Linux startet nicht nach Recovery eines ATIH-2011-Backups

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

As you have found, the recovery CD for 2012 is different from that of 2011.

Are you saying you are trying to restore a 2011 image with the 2012 CD?

Have you made an image using 2012?

Yes, I have a problem restoring my 2011 image of Redhat-Enterprise-5.5 with the recovery CD for 2012. After succesfully restoring I boot my computer, but only the bootloader GRUB was started and not the redhat linux system. With my old 2011 CD I have no problem to restore and run my linux system. Then I created a new 2012 image, which can be restored by the 2011 CD and the 2012 CD without any problem.
What can be the reason for this behaviour?
PS: I have no problems restoring a 2011 image of Windows XP with the 2012 CD.

You are not the only person who has a problem restoring Linux partitions, one of your fellow countrymen has a similar problem in restoring Debian Linux.

I don't know what is causing the problem. Have you raised the proble via support or chat?

No, I did not raise the problem via support or chat at this moment. But it's good to read, that I am not alone with this problem. But I will contact support in the next days (this will be the third case for ATIH 2012).
Thanks for your help!
