Logs say Incrementals created successfully... but they do NOT exist.

Thread needs solution

Working with Acronis TI Home 2009 Build 9709 (about to update to 9796).

Set up incremental backups to run at 2AM everyday.  Under the logs section, the calendars are covered in green which means successful.  The logs themselves say successful as well.

However, when I look at the destination folder (an external drive) I see only three files... July 29, Aug 12 adn Aug 26.  The size for each of this indicates it is a full backup.  If I double click the file, it only shows c: so it is a single file.

This is a desktop so it is always connected to the external drive... the computer drives are set to never turn off - so the machine is always available at the time of the backup - as the logs indicate.

Worse of all, the best file for us to use is Aug 12 and when we try to use it we get the message: "This is not the last volume of the backup archive." and we cannot use it.  We do not care if it not the last volume... that is the date we want to use.  If we select the Aug 26 file, our only choice is a full restore of that date which is corrupted with a virus.

So where did the "successful" incrementals go??? if not the path in the defined backup task???

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hello Tomster2,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

Could you please describe the settings you have managed at the Backup Method window? Have you used consolidation? Have you used a batch file as a pre/post command?

Could you please also provide us with the log file of an incremental backup?

- Launch the program;
- Tasks and logs, Log;
- Choose the appropriate log entry and make right-click on it;
- Select save option and specify the desired location for the log file to save to;
- Attach the log file to your next post..

Thank you.
