Lost all my backups - how to restart

Thread needs solution

My backups were being sent to a NAS drive, both drive backups and file backups. The NAS drive had a major unrecoverable failure and I need to move to a different NAS. The destinations on the new NAS will change e.g. old Q:\Acronis will become P:\AcronisQ

I have about 30 different backup profiles. Can I just change the destinstions and run them or do I have to create all new profiles?

As difficult and time consuming as it will be new tasks are highly recommended. Editing existing tasks has never bee a strong suit of TI. You can try changing the destination but be prepared for issues.

So I'm finding out - I took a backup that did my D and E drives and cloned it, then I changed the source location. I then deleted the original DR backup profile. Started the new backup, it ran 90% and created a large backup .TLB which has all the D/E files, but then failed while trying to access a previous full backup for the F: drive - and that makes no sense. Is there any way to tell Acronis to lose the history of all backups?

I think I found it
Found 2 copies of archives.xml and renamed them both - one in Users [129kb] *and in Program Data [415kb]

When Acronis starts- the one in program data is recreated as a small 2kb

I'm testing some more backups

Bob,
Edit each profile and point the destination to its new folder location where its old tib files are stored on its new disk.

This should work.
