Maintenir 3 PCs à l'identique / Maintaining 3 PCs identical
Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.

Samoreen,
I can't answer your licence question, though I think theoretically Acronis would say you do need 3 licences, I think it best to ask Acronis via the Pre Sales support option on their website.
I think you post went unanswered not because it was written in French, but possibly due to the time lag between America and Russia versus Europe.
As I live in the southern hemisphere, I'm seeing it this morning :) .

Have you looked at Mandatory Profiles? This will reset a user profile back to a known state at log off. It is not an ideal solution but it may be what you want.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers. AFAIK, mandatory profiles require a server for storing the profile. Also, during a course, users can install applications and data files that have nothing to do with a profile. So reloading an image appears to be the only way to maintain a known state for each system. Moreover, it is possible to build different images corresponding to different courses.
I have asked the support about the number of licenses but I guess we'll have to purchase a 3-license pack.

Up?
Anyone from Acronis there? I got no answer from the customer support.

See the Acronis Product Licensing Table at http://kb.acronis.com/content/11997
Basically, the current TIH 2012 terms are one "perpetual" license for "one physical machine." So, if you have a multiboot set-up, you can install it more than once on the same machine, but to install it on more than one machine you'd need more than one license.
Not sure exactly how that would be applied to using a "rescue disc" built with TIH, but subject to correction by one of the Acronis people here, I'd assume it's subject to the same terms.

OK, thanks.
I just discovered that even if the product is not permanently installed on a system, and if you run it from the CD, you need a license because it's a physically different system.

Perhaps they'd be a little more lenient about CD usage "for educational purposes." By no means certain, but it might be worth asking someone in their "sales and promotions" department if you can get it bumped up to that level somehow.
