Microsoft Genuine Software Warning Keeps Popping Up

Thread needs solution

I had a hard drive failure changed the hard drive, loaded a backup image and now when I start up the computer after about 10 minutes I get a Message saying that I'm not running Genuine Microsoft software and to resolve online.

I check the 25 digit code on the bottom of the computer to what Magic Jellybean is telling me they both match.

Why does this message keep popping up and also when I close it the message seems to not come back until I reboot the computer.

YOu need to make sure you restore the disk signature.
You also can call Microsoft support and they will fix the activation issue.

Just tell MS on the phone exactly what you did and they can't refuse you. They can deter software theft but they can't deny use of the program to those with a valid license. You haven't broken and license rules, they can't (and in fact won't) refuse you. It's more of a pain than if MS didn't use on-line activation, but shouldn't take more than a few minutes, not counting hold time. Worst part is listening to that awful music while on hold :(
