Missed backup runs on system startup (With option UNCHECKED)
I have a scheduled backup to run Daily at 6:00 AM. On the schedule screen, under advanced options, there is an option for 'Missed Backup'. The 'Run at system startup' option is UNCHECKED.
If I leave my PC on overnight the backup runs as scheduled. If it is missed however it attempts to run on login, slowing my system to a crawl. I specifically unchecked this option but it runs anyways and I have to cancel it.
I had the same problem with the 2010 version and continue to see this with 2011.
Currently Running:
True Image Home 2011, Update 1 (build 6597)

I have the same problem. Not only does it slow the system down, but it shuts down the system because that is how I have the backup set. I just submitted this to customer support, so perhaps they'll have an answer.

Eric,
Just to make sure, open the log file on the task which attempts to start and also the open the log file on the successful backup. Check to confirm the script ID is the same number? There have been reports in the past of non-visible scripts attempting to run.

If you are running W7, a workaround might be to have the TI Scheduler service on delayed start up.

GroverH: In my situation, there is no log for the "attempted" task, because the computer was turned off.
Colin B: The delayed start up would only delay the slowdown till after the computer is started. It would also not stop the computer from shutting down after the backup (unless I happen to be at the computer when the backup completes, because by looking at the logs, it appears that it asks the user for permission before shutting down, and if no response shuts down anyway).
Eric: If you tried to submit a request via the webform and were directed to the forum, you also had a choice to just submit the request without going to the forum. You can also get support through "Live Chat". Of course, for these support options you have to be logged in to your account at acronis.com, and your product must be registered.
Still hoping for a solution from Acronis customer service - I just submitted my support request yesterday afternoon.
