Missing Icon in task bar

Thread needs solution

When the "backing up" window is hidden the icon no longer appears in the taskbar. How do I get it back?

Hello Christopher,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

Please make sure that TrueImageMonitor.exe process is running in Task Manager. If yes, try to restart it. If this doesn't help, check the setting of the taskbar. You can also reinstall the program and ses if the issue remains.

Thank you.

I see many comments by staff that: Reinstall Acronis.

What is 'Reinstll'..is that REMOVE by a Uninstaller type program? If so, do you lose ALL the setups?
Maybe you can answer: How to transfer my schedule to Win 7 without starting from scratch.

Hello Harry,

Let me answer your question.

In this particular case 'reinstall' means that you should just install Acronis True Image over the existing installation (make a 'repair installation'). In that case all your settings and scheduled tasks will stay intact.

However, there are some cases when you need to uninstall and install the software from scratch. In such cases you need to re-create all tasks.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to migrate all tasks to a new OS or to a different machine yet. However, I've forwarded your request to the responsible department and probably we'll add an ability to import/export tasks in future versions of Acronis True Image.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

I have the similar problem as the "activity" icon is missing during a backup or restore, even after a re-install of TIH 2009 build 2809. The True Image Monitor file is in the True Image Home folder though. Please advise. Larry

Msconfig.
Start Up: True Image Monitor

Services: Acronis Scheduler

I played around with various combos. You should also use 'Starter'...a FREE prg showing
the programs that are started. If above does not work, I will tell you what is started in 'Starter'.

Install Win 7...make a new item with Acronis, search for the ODD name you assigned to find out where it went. Do the same back at the old Acronis
Then, transfer your old ones over. May not work but is better than nothing. I have 16 BU's in the week.
BTW--Use 'Everything' for search.,FREE.
