Missing PCI Driver

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 2013 with the True Image Plus Pack (both registered) on a Gateway 710 desk top I made a compete copy of the actual hard disk, a 250 GB Maxtor 7Y250M0, after a complete full disk virus/spyware scan followed by disk defragmentation. This disk was a non RAID configuration. I then changed the BIOS to RAID 0 and using the Rescue Media created prior to the disk backup, attempted to do a disk recovery selecting Universal Restore.

As the recovery neared its end, I received the following message:

Device driver PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24DF&SUBSYS_2023107B&REV02
For Microsoft Windows XP Professional cannot be found Place the driver on removable media and click Retry.

I inserted first the OEM Gateway Drivers disk, clicked retry and again received the same message. I then inserted the Gateway OEM Windows XP disk, clicked retry and again received the same message. I then clicked Ignore and after a few minutes the computer attempted to start Windows XP Pro and shortly after starting Windows, the dreaded “Blue Screen of Death” appeared for a very short time followed an endless cycle of failing to start, I tuned the computer off.
.

I reinstalled the non RAID configuration back up after resetting the BIOS back to non RAID and every thing works just fine. I attempted to find this Intel driver online and at Intel’s web site by doing an Intel scan which indicated my drivers were all up to date. Mother board part number is d875pbz. I attempted to find this Intel driver online and at Intel’s web site by doing an Intel scan which indicated my drivers were up to date.

However, I have an identical 250 GB Maxtor hard drive installed that I would like to use in a RAID 0 configuration. I would like to find this diver and install it on the current non RAID configuration, do another complete disk back up as well as burn a CD containing the driver just in-case.

So, what do I need to do?

I used a full backup which at the very end complains about PCI drivers missing and fails since it can't find them. I would think the full backup would have all drivers in it. Am I selecting the wrong back up initial.

Wow, old board... supports RAID 0 and 1. ICH5R southbridge

Needs BIOS rev P08 or later. Here is P33

Double check.. there may be 2 rev's for this board.... and you don't want to use the wrong BIOS

RAID Drivers IAA - The F6 Install will give you the individual RAID drivers needed for UR
