Mixing SSD's and normal 3.5 inch platter drives

Thread needs solution

Right now i have 9 normal 3.5" platter drives and imaging works fine, but my main 2 OS's drives re both a few years old now and i'm thinking i should be moving to SSD as my HDD are causing most of my bottlenecks in my system.

So i was wondering how does older versions of "ATI" handle the newer SSD's do i have to look for a certain version to support SSD's by the way i NEVER image withing windows I always boot from cold using boot CD that way all imaging is always done outside windows.

Greetings,
There is no reason not to use ATIH 2013. Latest version has support and drivers for latest chipsets and storage controllers. While you may be able to use older versions of ATIH with SSD's, you may find that the latest version can support both older and newer hardware most effectively.

If you have a version older than mentioned and a modern OS (vista+) - fornat target SSD to the desired layout from Windows and you'll get proper alignment, that will be preserved during restore.

OK that being the case I'm running Win 7 x64 so that's not an issue, I may have to look at upgrading my version when i get the new SSD, ok thanks for the replies guys.
