Moving *one* activation of a family license to another machine?

Thread needs solution

Hello, all!

I've got a 3-PC family license for True Image 2013, but I've only installed it on one machine so far. However, that PC has become unstable, and I've installed another, fresh copy of Windows, and I'm slowly moving all of my apps and data over.

I need to move True Image over to the new machine, but here's my problem. All of the posts and articles I've read which discuss transferring an activation to another machine tell you what to do or what to click on *after* you're presented with the "too many activations" message.

In my case, I'm not going to *get* that message, because I already have two activations remaining. So, I just want to move the one, previously-activated instance to the other installation of Windows.

*PLEASE*, do not suggest that I just burn the 2nd activation on this, and then, someday, down the road, when I do get the "too many activations" message, to deal with it, then. At present, I don't know *which* other machines I want to put TI onto or when I'm going to do it, and I don't want to have to keep track of how many activations I'm supposed to have remaining.

So, is there a way to manually DE-activate the old copy (I've already uninstalled it, incidentally)? Or, is there some trick to activating the new copy in a way which supplants the old one? (I've seen mention of a trick where I can try to activate TI with my network disabled, and forcing TI to activate manually by going to the Acronis website. Is that the way to do it?)

You don't want the answer that is coming.

You can not delete an activation, only move one when the "too many activations" message appears.

I would suggest that you contact Acronis support to see if this can be done on their side at www.acronis.com/support/contact-us.html.
