Multiple activation warning

Thread needs solution

I've separate 2013 TI licenses for my Windows 7 and Windows 8 laptops and lately I see this TI warning popup message appearing on my Win7 laptop periodically, reminding me that I have multiple activations. I don't really know how to get rid off this popup and I don't know how I ended up with multiple activation in the first place. Anybody else has been in this situation?

It is possible that the warnings will suddenly disappear. If they don't, check that you haven't inadvertently entered the same serial numbers for both installations, then when the message pops up again click on transfer activation, this will take you to a webpage where you can delete the current information and then reactivate W7.

Did this happen after a Windows update by any chance?

I don't remember if this started happening after a Windows update, but since updates are pretty frequent, it could have been one of those triggering it. The popups don't appear every day and so far I was unable to discover any pattern to them. But I'll check on the serial # issue you mentioned.
Thanks.

OK, I've checked the serial #s of both installations and compared it to the single ser# that Acronis shows as registered to me. It looks like you guys only have my most recent purchase registered and that's the one I use on my Win8 laptop. The ser# that I use on my older Win7 laptop is not registered with you even though I got that license last November through your upgrade offer via cleverbridge / Acronis Americas. The multiple activation warnings only pop up on the Win7 PC.

I can send that serial # in as a proof if that is needed to get rid off the popup msg.

JoPa,

This is a user to user forum. The folks here are not Acronis employees, and do not have access to your serial numbers.

Do not post any serial numbers here.

You can sign in to your Acronis account (www.acronis.com) and register the additional serial number yourself into your account.

This should not make any difference (concerning the activation messages), as the registration of your serial number online is separate from the activation process within the program.

If you are not running the current version (2013 build 6514), you can download the current installer from your account after registering it.

On your Windows 7 system, download a new copy of the 2013 build 6514 installer and open it up. Once open, perform a repair installation.

I've had the Build 6514 installed but tried a repair install with a new download as you suggested. Then it still showed too many activations when I tried to activate. It also gave me an option to remove activation to move it to another PC (which was strange since I did not want to move it) but I went ahead with it anyway. That fixed the problem though and now both of my copies are registered on the Acronis web site, with each PC having a single activation. All is well if it ends well, I guess. So thanks for the tip.
