Multiple TIB files created with single version backup scheme - NTFS

Thread needs solution

I'm using Acronis TrueImage Home 2011 (Update 3, build 6942).

I have several backup sets configured as "single version" backup scheme. Here's how I have it set up:

Over time, I am finding that multiple TIB files are stacking up on my backup drive.  It looks like this:

See how there are multiple copies of the "SSD_Boot_Drive" backup? That seems strange to me. Shouldn't there just be one?

I know this isn't a FAT32 issue, because the TIB files are way larger than 4GB (Two 48GB files, one 44GB file and one 7GB file). Also the backup destination drive is definitely NTFS.

And what's with the GUID id's concatenated into the filename?

The data base has become confused. My suggestion would be to create a new task pointing to a new empty sub-folder.
The old task can be disabled or removed from the listing. Retain the backups in case of future need.

Here is another option as to how to create a backup scheme keeping x number of fulls.

Thanks. I will try using a custom scheme and see what happens.

Over the past few months I deleted and re-created the single version backup tasks and it gets "confused" every time.

Patrick,
Editing a task has been reported to cause issues. Set all the correct parameters at the beginning and point the task to an empty destination folder without any further editing.

The program does create a replacement backup before deleting its replacement so extra space is always needed for one extra full backup.
