My question is where do I get the link to download Plus Pack 2012?
I purchased Acronis True Image Home 2011 and Plus Pack 2011 together just a few weeks ago.
I just got new serial numbers from Acronis to upgrade for free to True Image Home 2012 and Plus Pack 2012 since I just purchased the 2011 versions very shortly ago.
I then downloaded True Image 2012 and installed it using the new serial number. Perfect.
I then searched the site for 30 min trying to find where to download Plus Pack 2012. I did find where to purchase it but not to download it without purchasing it.
I then went into Chat and chatted with Toshi Anurag who said he understood my question and gave me a link to a page with instructions to log into my account and for me to look at Under My Products & Downloads click Download under any of the registered products you would like to download:
...which I did and it proudly offers me to download True Image 2011 and Plus Pack 2011. NOT 2012.
So, all I need is to be able to download Plus Pack 2012 so I can install it using the new serial number I now have for it.
Also to mention Toshi had me present my new serial numbers in the chat room which I don't really like having to do, the serials should be private.
Please help.

Rich,
Glad you found it. I was just about to respond when I saw your 2nd posting. Also check the left margin for the 2012 Help links.

Now it's not accepting my Plus Pack 11 serial number to upgrade from...I'll have to pick up on this later.
It should just look and see it it's on my hard drive where ever they put it.

Rich,
In the plus pack, I believe you need only the 2012 serial. If you really need the 2011 PP serial, it is listed in your registration page along with all your other serials.

I just looked closer and realized I'd downloaded the Trial version of 2012 Home and installed it as the upgrade, which is probably the same thing. I just downloaded the upgrade version from my area and installed it. I then ran the upgrade for the Plus Pack and it says I have the latest version and I see the Splash screen says Plus Pack 2012, even though I never installed it. So either the new elements are included in the Home installation or it hasn't changed from 2011. I don't know which.
But if it's not going to let me install the upgrade and it already says it's 2012, I guess that's time to just run with it.

You can insert the serial into an trial for the base 2012 but if an upgrade it may ask for the 2011 TIH serial.
If necessary, you can restore a backup of 2011 and start all over with the installs; or uninstall and reinstall.
There is no difference between the trail download or the download from your account. After the insertion of the serials, they are both the same. Without the insertion of the serial, the trial will time out whereas the one downloaded from account will not time out.

Ok, I just went to uninstall the whole shootin match and reinstall it without using any trial versions and got the stupid error message that I don't have sufficient access to uninstall Acronis True Image 2012. Well hmm hmm hmm! I have and am the only access into this laptop and I just went into the Control Panel; User Accounts and it prominently shows my account as "Rich" with "Administrator" under it and it is the ONLY user account and when I click change your account type it already shows as 'Administrator' type.
Oh-kay. How do I uninstall it and I guess more importantly how do I tell Windows I AM the administrator?
Thanks for any help,
Rich

Rich,
Try:
1. Run the 2012 installer again and there should now be a remove option.
2. If that doesn't work, find the uninstall file, right click and select Run as Administrator.
Windows has two types of admin accounts, the first which is the user account Administrator - in W7 this is disabled by default, but is a true Admin account. The other is a standard user who has Admin permissions. Most of the time there is very little difference, but the Administrator account can gain access to files or users that are locked.
Note: TIH uninstaller or the TIH files or their entries in registry shouldn't be locked, but registry for some reason does occasionally lock some registry entries.

Ok, I found a topic in the forum here which said to right click on the Acronis True Image 2012 installation .exe and run it as administrator. This worked and allowed me to uninstall it.
Now....I rebooted and tried to do the same with the Plus Pack 2012 and it tells me I am running the current version. I just checked the Acronis program folder and there is now only a 30k help file left behind so I guess I'm not running any version. Yes, I think it's still got remnants in the registry and that's probably what is being compared to.
Ok, well now to try reinstall it without the trial version.
I'll report progress in a bit.
Rich
Edit:: I figured out while watching my installation sliders and scratchin my old grey head that the reference to me running the latest version would mean the installer I was running, not what might be already installed, so that is fine.

I am running True Image 2012. I do not have the Plus Pack whatever that is. This forum is the first time I have ever heard of it.
I have had an incremental backup running successfully for several weeks now. The destination is a NAS 200 that was running off of the router..
I had to replace the router and the NAS is now hanging off of the new router. Now when I attempt to do the backup, after "calculating" the program comes up with the error "installl the disk with the .......... file" like it cannot find the existing backups. I checked that it can open the folder thru edit connection settings "test the connection" and there is no problem. The IP number is different on this router but the name. etc is the same.
Do I have to create a new backup and can I have it use the old ones and just start from where it was or how can I get the original one to run. It took days to creat the base.

Hello Montie,
I have a NAS200 with 1T of disk space and a DNS 323 with 4T of disks.
Box 1: Linksys NAS200 1TB f/w 3.4R75
Box 2: Dlink DNS-323 4TB ext3 h/w B1 f/w 1.09
Changing the router could confuse the program since the path to the back up media might have changed. Can you browse to the back up images from within ATIH. Meaning can you click on the paths listed for your back ups on the Backup and Recovery Tab and do the folders on the NAS open and display the files?
How you map to these folders could be culprit. I use a static IP for both my boxes.

Montie,
You would be better off making new tasks. You could try using UNC addressing to the router or as mentioned IP addressing. The router name and IP address are embedded in the task script.
It would be better if you created your own thread for this problem as it has nothing to do with Plus Pack 2012, and others whom might be able to help you will never see your post in this thread.
