Netbook
I have True Image Home 2011, and Home 2011 Nebook versions. I want to install a larger hard drive in my netbook. When I did this with the standard version for my desktop computer, it was pretty easy. On the Netbook version there is no option for cloning the HDD. If I Mount the new HDD in my netbook, can I use the bootable media from the standard version to initiate the cloning of the new HDD?

Actually through searching the help contents and website further I actually found a way to download the "Product native bootable media" for the netbook version. So I should still be within the license requirements if I use that, I think. I do own both versions, and even if I had to buy another license just to make this work I would do that. I have a 160 GB HDD in my netbook, and I just cannot manipulate it any further to keep it in sync with my desktop pc. I have a new 640 GB I am replacing it with, I just need to install and clone the new one so that I can start using it by tomorrow when I go to work.
You are saying to do a full backup of the netbook drive. Where would I back it up to? Would it be better to put the new HDD into my docking station, or back it up to a portable HDD, and then restore to the new drive after I make the physical change in the netbook? I really need some kind of step by step help. I have seen an algorithm for this under knowledge base article #2931, but this seems to be written for the standard version and I am not sure if it will work the same with the netbook version.

Can you backup to a USB disk easily? That would be the preferred option.
To be clear, we are talking about a disk and partition backup, including all partitions. Not a clone. Even better, do your backup from the bootable media on the netbook. This will make sure you can use the bootable media to restore (because you have proven you can use the keyboard, mouse, see the disks, etc.)
Alternatively, you can still do a reverse close. You put the current disk in an external enclosure, put the new disk in the netbook, boot on the CD and clone the external disk on the new one. Check Grover's guide for a good cloning guide.
Remember that drive letters change when you use the CD. You C:\ partition might have a D:\letter on the letter. Make sure you recognize the lables, size, or brand to avoid a common error: some users end up cloning the empty drive on their current one...
