Network Share Access from Recovery Media

Using the recovery ISO to CD and trying to use network locations...
The file explorer shows me the PCs on the network, this implies that some or all the LAN functionality is working. Note: I have not added any specific LAN drivers to the media, the default seem to work.

However when i enter the domain\username, password for locations i know i have access to, i get an error.
Even a NAS drive which is open for anonymous access can't be used.

This is frustrating not having network access and having to use USB drives for storage.
