New 3TB Hard Drive == GPT

Thread needs solution

Hello
I have two Seagate 3TB hard drives. I started with the first 3TB hard drive using new hard drive tool -add new disk. I created two partitions. I then formatted.
I started with the second Seagate 3TB hard drive. However I saw no display showing the full 3TB.
I then ran Seagate tools. The second hard drive is perfect. How can I manage this new hard drive so that I can convert to 3TB GPT? I include all the footprints of my efforts. Let me know, thanks!

No one was able to offer a solution? I even posted on Seagate forum ... and no reaction.

Anyway I kept fiddling with other approaches - and even considered a low level format. But why?

What I finally did to fix this situation was apply a Firmware. and after I applied that firmware I rebooted into Windows - and there it sat in plain sight ----
a 3TB hard drive. I spent hours on this project - and was road blocked at every turn - and read all those fix it articles and not one worked. Again the Firmware turned the key.

Launch Windows Disk Management, take a screenshot of it showing all drives, and post it here. I'd like to see how both drives are recognized. If they are two brand new drives of identical model, you could have a disk signature collision.

To determine information as to whether MBR OR GPT,
there are a couple ways.

1. One method is to use the Windows included DISKPART
as per attached link.

http://forum.acronis.com/system/files/mvp/user285/misc/show-diskpart-ca…

2. Anoher option is to open windows Disk Managemewnt into graphical view.
Along the top in the Menu section,
Click View
Click Disk
Click Top
Click Disk List
Note the "Device type" is a column heading.

GPT will show under this header.
