New folders and files are not backuped

Thread needs solution

Recently I have to recover a file and I am surprised that it is not backup!!!!!

All new files and folders are not backup.

I am using TI 2014.

My job is to backup my document folder, full backup and incremental.
. must have an incremental backup daily
. full backup monthly

And I find that
1. The last receoverable schedule is on Nov 17 !
2. I open the backup folder, there is a TIB file dated Dec 15 (yesterday). Why I cannot receove the file which backup yesterday?
3. When I open TI file recovery window, there is no new files or folders. The last one is June 2012 ! For instance, I have a file abc. The file abc is changed last week. But the backup file is June 2012! More than a year ago!

So I am always backup old files !!!!

What is the problem with the TI??

Can you post some screenshots of your backup settings?
You mentioned the backup file is dated June 2012, does this mean you upgraded to TI?

The metioned folder is created at June 2012. I buy and install the new version at August 2013.

Alfred,

I take it that this is a files and folders backup rather than a complete disk image, correct?

Could you post a copy of the True Image log and a screenshot fo yoru settings for the task?

Is the My Documents folder the only root folder you are backing up? If not, and there are other folders off the root directory, are they being backed up correctly?

Alfred,

It seems you have several My Documents folders. If you selected the files and folders through the Documents library, make sure the library contains the right My Documents folder. Alternatively, make sure you select the folders on the disk directly, rather than through the library. There must some sort of issue in your selection related to library vs. folders vs. NTFS junctions or shortcuts...

Alfred,

What OS are you using?

Pat's post has just reminded me that there once was a problem (mainly with Vista I think, and TI 2012) where libraries weren't always backed up correctly.

Another my document folder is a short cut. I think it is created by Windows 7 by default.

The "my document" shortcut is not accessible.

I am backing up the "true my document folder". All my development work is there.

It is a files and folder backup. I only need to backup my data.

1. I attach another folder which has the same problem. All new files after Nov 16 are not recoverable
2. Please take a look at another image. It said the last version is 78 (yesterday at 8:08pm) but I can only recover file up to Nov 16 which is a month ago.
3. The log shows that the backup is successful yesterday.

Thus, I think the files are backup but it does not allow me to recover it.

I am using Win 7 Home Premium.

Where shall I find the log files for you?

I have another backup job which it seems OK.

And I check the backup desintation drive, there are backups of the "Hasee". It seems that the Hasee job is completed but the TI does not allow me to recover the files. It only displays files up to Nov 16.

Can you create a new task and verify it is working? I am suspecting the backup chain is damaged.

I will create another one for testing later. Actually I need to do so, as the files in my document are very important to me.

But you may check my other post, I have another job. It runs ok.

The difference is:
1. It is a weekly based not daily based.
2. It is a USB harddisk.

But I will also check tomorrow,
1. Is the lastest recover date will add (1). It seems to me that the recoverable date is always one month earlier for that "task"
