Thread needs solution

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Acronis and have a few basic questions. Sorry if they are redundant to other posts on this forum.

1. If I write a backup to a network drive, how can I restore it. Assume new hard drive w/o an operating system installed; not sure if Acronis has NIC drivers that allows me to browse my network.

2. I created a rescue disc. Is it specific to the computer where it was created? I ask because I have a multi-computer license and need to know if each computer requires a rescue disc -- or will the one I created work for all computers?

3. May I move an Acronis backup set (full+incrementals) to another location and still be able to restore them using the rescue boot disc?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, I play one.

The restore disk is generic--not specific to any specific computer.

Moving the tib files to another location should have no effect on their restorability--providing the move does not induce any diskl or copy errors.

If the restore disk does not have your needed drivers, then copy the backup to a externanl usb disk and attach the usb disk directloy to the computer being restored.

Inside my signature link 3, the first few items inside that link could be of assistance.
