Newbie question on cloning

Hi;

I am new here in theis forum and I just likw to ask quesions concerning a error message I had when I was cloning an IDE to a SATA hdd. There was an "Error: GetDriveLayout! CreateFile fail! Access is denied." But eventhough there was this error I can/have continued doing my clone (in Automatic mode).

My questions are:

What is this error? What may have caused this error to be present?

Is this a legitimate error or can be ignored?

Does this have an impact to the cloning that I have done? If so, what may be the possible results of it.

May I also know what maybe the end results of poor cloning or errors in cloning such as the error I have experienced?

Are there known issues with cloning from IDE to SATA drives that I need to know of (I'd really like to know more and understand it better).

As of this writing I am using the clone now and I get occassional BSOD with Page Fault in Nonpagefault area (STOP error) 0x00000050....
Can this be related to the error I encountered?

If so, how may I do a fix on it?

I have just tested my memory(2gb) and memtest says there are no errors. The new hdd is okay as tested by WD DataLifeguard tools. The old hdd from where I cloned the new one has bad sectors but I corrected it first before cloning. My system is clean from any virus/malware.

Please help and assist me.
