No Bootmgr

Thread needs solution

Build 6613
I bought several copies of True Image 2015 because I intend to upgrade my computers to Windows 10. I successfully upgraded one desktop but another desktop failed the upgrade and really got messed up. So I thought, Wow, now I can recover the disk image with True Image. When I did this however the recovery failed. I downloaded the log file to a thumb drive and can upload it if it would be helpful. I went on and tried to boot my computer but got an error message "BOOTMGR is missing". Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will have another new hard drive available tomorrow and maybe I can successfully recover the image to it. What do you think?

Greetings,
You have file system errors on your disk. Normally you would run chkdsk /r on the drive, all partitions.

However, since you attempted an upgrade that failed, I think I would format the drive and then perform a recovery operation. Acronis does, as a matter of course delete the data from a partition prior to a recovery operation, but for whatever reason, it does not appear to be able to correctly interpret the existing disk structure, partitions or space available for the restore.

If this disk was encrypted, you might want to tell us more about your environment, system and whether the system was purchased or is home built.

My back ups always include a full disk image back up, which means I can restore to a brand new compatible disk. If you do not have a full disk image backup, do not format or delete the entire disk (as this might destroy) data you cannot recover.
