No network

Using Acronis True Image 2013
Using an Acronis boot disk which opens the Standalone version, I cannot see my network. However, creating backups using the installed version inside windows easily writes backup images to all my network connected devices.
I'm using a Dell Inspiron 580. The network card is a Broadcom NetLink Gigabite Ethernet. The driver version is 12.4.0.3.
In the Standalone version I see no network (or Computers Near me). I do see my c: drive and CD/DVD drives. (My image is too large to fit on DVD media).
