Thread needs solution

I know this topic has come up over the years, but that doesn't take away the sting that since yesterday I haven't been able to get a backup from the upgrade. The problem, in my case, may be due to having deleted all my previous backups. (I have had multiple iterations of the program over the years)

To get support from Acronis has been a chamber of horrors, and I will not go into them here. So, please, you're my last chance before my sanity goes to the south pole.

I have tried to start a new backup, no luck. I have tried the cloud, no. Contrary to what I said earlier, I did backup a single file. But the entire computer is the Holy Grail.

Any response, no matter how useless, will be welcome. As you can see, I'm desperate for even a clue.

TIA Larry

Do you get any error messages?

Does Windows Event Manager show any problems (right click on My Computer, select Manage)?

If you enable email for task reporting, see what the log says that will be contained in the email.

Does the same problem occur when using the recovery media to make an image?

What setting do you have VSS set to in both Services.msc and the options for the task?

IS this a manually initiated backup or from a newly created task? If from an old task, then try deleting all the tasks and starting from scratch BUT first save to same new safe location any backups that already have that you want to save.
