nonstop backup stopps

Thread needs solution

Nonstop Backup has stopped from self after several weeks of working.
When I want to restart it, comes this message:
(0xD60021)
Tag = 0xF8C74554441EAA16
Der RPC-Server ist nicht verfügbar (0xFFF0)
code = 800706BA)
Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8B9

I use an extern drive of 500GB for the nonstop backup.
There are only about 40 GB used.
The drive works normally.

Windows XP Service Pack always actually.

One week ago I have changed the partition size from 40GB to 500GB by deleting another partition. Could this be the reason? How can I restart Nonstop Backup?

Hello Werner,

I will do everything possible in order to resolve the issue you experience with nonstop backup.

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

In order to solve the issue please do the following:

  • Make sure that Acronis Scheduler2 Service is Started and the Startup type is set to Automatic:
    • Click Start -> Run and type in services.msc;
    • In the Services window locate Acronis Scheduler2 Service;
    • Right-click on the service and select Properties in the pop-up menu;
    • In the invoked window set the Startup type to Automatic. Click OK;
    • Right-click on the service again and select Start in the pop-up menu.
  • If this does not help, please download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service, extract it and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service.

Should the issue persist after trying all or any of the two solutions, please contact Acronis Customer Central with request for support.
