Old versions of the backup not found

Thread needs solution

I have been doing backups to a NAS.

Currently the contents of my backup directory looks like:

13.10.2011 14:24 254 671 848 960 eero_samsung.tib
13.10.2011 22:05 254 686 160 384 eero_samsung(1).tib
17.10.2011 09:31 11 194 634 240 eero_samsung(1)2.tib
17.10.2011 18:57 11 154 305 536 eero_samsung(1)3.tib
18.10.2011 21:16 11 516 609 536 eero_samsung(1)4.tib
24.10.2011 20:01 15 553 388 032 eero_samsung(1)5.tib
27.10.2011 20:05 17 465 156 096 eero_samsung(1)6.tib
29.10.2011 11:29 130 627 928 064 eero_samsung(2)1.tib
29.10.2011 12:48 126 909 757 952 eero_samsung(2)2.tib
08.11.2011 09:23 18 297 806 848 eero_samsung(2)3.tib
22.11.2011 22:40 33 694 861 824 eero_samsung(2)4.tib
22.12.2011 23:45 277 832 125 952 eero_samsung(2)5.tib
23.12.2011 12:41 729 612 288 eero_samsung(3)1.tib

The last file is from an ongoing backup.

Yesterday I noticed that True Image home old seemed to recognize three old backups, and today, it only told me that one backup exists.
(I got an error message at the end of backup yesterday, but the backup verified ok today.)

Is this as designed?? or is this a known issue? I would very much appreciate hints which would make the software recognize the old backups.
(If that is not possible I will be looking for a new backup system...)

If ati doesn't see the backups when it loads, it's probably not going to list them. Do they show up if try to refresh or browse for backups?

Refresh did not help, it seems that it is possible to browse to them.

I just found it disturbing that the software itself did not seem to recognize them.

Had the same problem.
I fixed it by allowing 2012 to use its default folder name.
I changed the destination Drive to my special drive for backups, and after I left the MY Backups folder as the path for the destination, it worked. It sees the older backups from 2010.
So my current path for destination is Y:\MY Backups

Hope this helps,
Fred

should be perfectly fine -- it's the database thats a bit wonky.

Often these kinds of database issues arise if you edit the tasks -- in ati2011, if you ran a task rmanually, it would count the backup as a seperate task. On my machines, ati 2011 and 2012 seem to always or almost always ifnd backups on its own but couldn't reliably group them with assoicated tasks.
