Online backups Never Seem to work

I was trying to get online backups to work, but they never to date have.

Then, just now, at http://kb.acronis.com/content/23496 I saw a post that FTP backups couldn't backup files larger than 2 gigs. Maybe I have been doing this all wrong.

Aren't I supposed to start a drive image session to Acronis Online of my C Drive without the darb thing stalling out?

Also, if I am downloading a file, say, 2 gigs, it takes about 2 mins. or less. How long should it take to back up my C Drive online, assuming if I did it offline it would be about a forty gig backup?

I mean, I can deal with having it work while I sleep, say, giving it what, six hours? But surely that ought to be enough.

I have yet had one backup work. I finally stopped my subscription until I get this solved.

Ideas? o I need Acronis Workstation instead? Would I be better off to just use something like Carbonite instead?
