OS shared across SSD and HDD's: Acronis will still do a full back up correctly?

Thread needs solution

I have an SSD for the OS (Windows 8.1 x64), two HDD's in RAID0 for games and another HDD for back ups/storage. In short, SSD is C: drive, 2x HDD RAID0 is D: drive and 1x HDD is E: drive.

Will Acronis True Image premium 2014 recognise the links of the D: drive if I tell it to do a full back up of C: ?

Thanks.

Acronis will recognize that you have 3 disks. If you perform backups in disk mode on all 3 disks you will have a complete system image. Keep in mind it will not be a single image but 3 images that make up the system. Backup of only the C: drive will only do just that, back up the C: drive. Any links as you say to D: that are contained on C: will be backed up anytime a backup of C: is performed.  Same goes with links on D: to C: drive.

Your most critical piece here is the RAID 0.  Having data spread across 2 disks is always a potential disaster.  Having a backup of that RAID 0 is a very, very good idea!  Acronis will backup both disks in the array as a single image.  If you need to restore, the raid controller will decide where the data goes as Acronis writes to it.
