Thread needs solution

I have had trouble loading Acronis True Image Ver 11 several times. It seems to partially load then quits. Once it seemed to load successfully but when I went into the program it locked my computer. I am using Win XP and when I tried to remove the program using Add/Remove, it would not uninstall. All I want to do now is uninstall the program. Any advice??? Help!!!

- do a backup of your system, so that you can revert at least to a working system, if not with a working ATI,
- in the device manager, uninstall any Acronis device you see there,
- install Revo uninstallyer, and use "Acronis" in the forced uninstall function,
- you might still have to remove some low level drivers manually. Look at this thread to do that: http://kb.acronis.com/content/1620

Before you uninstall/install, it's would be a good idea to use msconfig.exe to disable all non-microsoft services and all startup programs. This makes it less likely that any program conflicts, particularly with but not limited to security software, that might prevent a proper installations of the ati drivers.

You can go back to normal startup afterwards.
