Post program invisible

Thread needs solution

I have 2 programmed backup (weekdays and weekend, start time only is different).
In both, I start a "Post" program that, in turn, starts a few other programs.
All those programs are invisible on Saturdays and Sundays. I know they are running (TaskInfo tells me), but without window or anything on the taskbar.
I use XP Pro SP3.

Are they invisible only on the week-end, but visible the other days of the week? Is there any chance that each backup task has been created by a different Windows user?

I am the only user.
After checking and fixing all minor differences between the two programmed backups, the weekdays programs were invisible too. The only difference should have been to wake up the computer on weekdays and not on weekend and a different name for the backup file.

After deinstall and reinstall, the program can not be started anymore : run time error. Second try : same.

Anyway, I had so many problems with 2012 that I switched back to 2011 and all problems are gone :
- Post programs start completely invisible and no way to bring them to front. Have to kill the tasks.
- Program incompatible with Paragon Encrypted Disc : once you mount a file as virtual drive, no file can be accessed on any disc. You have to reboot.
- A programs that starts automatically reads plenty of files without releasing the file handles. Lucky you can deactivate the autostart with no consequence (program not useful?).
- I suspect the backup to take significantly longer time than with previous versions. Can not confirm because of the following :
- Deinstallation and reinstallation makes a run time error when I start the program. I tried twice. Now 2012 completely unusable to me.

I recommend not buying this 2012 version that simply does not work.

Additional question : why don't I receive any e-mail upon new posts on my thread with "Notify me when new comments are posted" checked?

Jean-Claude,

Sometimes running the cleanup utility (found here http://kb.acronis.com/content/24545 ) can solve reinstallation issues...

Bad news and not-very-good news.

Bad news : I thought all problems were gone with TrueImage 2011, but it has the same bug as 2012.

Not-very-good news : there is a partial workaround.

I did intensive testing of all possible ways to automatically start TrueImage 2011 without having post commands hidden :
1- Programmed to wake up the computer from hibernation (my computer does not wake up from shutdown, is there a way to do it?).
2- Programmed at fixed time with option to execute on statup if later than programmed time, and starting the computer early or late.
3- Programmed to start upon user's logon with or without option "once a day" (makes no difference except it will execute only one time) and starting from shutdown, disconnected or hibernation.
Results :
1- No problem, Acronis wakes up the computer, executes and post programs are displayed.
2a- Starting the program before the time, no problem, as above.
2b- Starting the program late : PROBLEM, Acronis starts and launches the post programs but these are invisible.
3a- Starting from shutdown, no problem, TrueImage starts and post programs execute and are displayed.
3b- Starting from disconnected, no problem, as above.
3c- Starting from hibernation : as expected, True image does not start as there is no logon.

Conclusion : if you want TrueImage (11 and probably 12) to execute automatically and with visible post programs when the computer starts, you must either :
- Program it to start and set the computer into HIBERNATION.
- Program it to start upon logon (usually once a day) and SHUTDOWN the computer.
My problem is I would like it to start either :
- At a programmed time (the fist way)
- Or upon manual wake up (from shutdown OR HIBERNATION) and this is impossible from hibernation.

Could you fix this bug that makes post programs invisible whenever TrueImage starts after the preset time?
I would be very grateful and would possibly try to re-install TrueImage 2012.
