Prepping PC for Recycling

Thread needs solution

I have successfully used Disk Cleanser on all the partitions of my secondary hard drive, and on all the documents sections of the primary drive. Now I'd like to run Disk Cleanser on the C: drive itself and am trying to boot to the CD (which came in the retail version of the product I bought at Staples). I tried using the F11 key during boot-up but that had no effect. What do I have to do to execute the Disk Cleanser routine from the CD drive? John T.

John,

Check in your account and download the last version of the Bootable media - this has a different Linux kernel so may work.

If that doesn't and your build is not 8101, download 8101 plus the Safe Media under the Free Plugins tab, install both make a new CD. If the 8101 build of the recovery CD doesn't work, you can try the SAFE version which uses BIOS calls rather than Linux drivers.
