Problem after sys restore after upgrading to TI 11
Hi - I opened TI10 to do a back up and accepted the download to TI 11 which was offered. I later realised it was a trial version, so tried to exit Acronis to do a system restore. I had to 'End now' as the programme wouldn't close.
After the system restore, I tried to open TI 10 but had a messgage saying 'This app has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way'. I also had an event code, which, when copied into the Acronis KB produced no information.
I've re-installed TI 10, but with no success. Can anyone help, please?

My experience has been that multiple install attempts are incidental. Installing (upgrading) *once* over a previous version generally ends badly.
Here is my process:
Completely uninstall the previous version. Often, there is trouble accomplishing this using Windows uninstaller (Control Panel\Programs and Features). And if Acronis doesn't provide an uninstall utility (as was the case for me with 2009), Revo can work (as it did for me).
Once you are sure it is completely uninstalled, install your new version. It will ask for your previous serial for the upgrade, so have it handy.
Oh, and definitely create a system image with your current version beforehand. It's not unususal (as you have discovered) to need an image to restore to after attempting the new version install.
Acronis is a great program (most years...), but they certainly don't mind making one jump through some really tedious and uneccessary hoops to upgrade their product.
