Problem making Boot CD and support.
I have tried it on two different drives with the same result.

Device is busy ...
Acronis 2010 is such a beautiful software. The test version worked perfectly and helped me to overcome an unforeseen big problem.
Now I have bought and licensed 2 times on a PC and a Notebook. But, now it is not possible to create a boot CD for the licensed programs. Always "device busy ...". No tray opens. ...
Why can Acronis not fix the bug?
What can I do?
Thank you.

Hello all,
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Ekkehard, here are several workarounds in case you cannot create Acronis True Image Bootable CD/DVD:
1. Please make sure that you are using a blank unformatted CD/DVD-R or CD/DVD-RW disc, as other types of media cannot be used to create a bootable rescue CD/DVD.
2. Boot into Safe mode (press F8 when Windows starts up and choose Safe mode to boot into) and then create Acronis True Image Bootable CD/DVD.
3. Update any third-party CD/DVD-writing software installed on the computer to the latest version available for free on its respective web-site.
4. Uninstall any CD/DVD burning software temporarily and then create Acronis True Image Bootable CD/DVD.
5. If you use Windows XP please uncheck the "Enable CD/DVD recording on this drive" box in the "Recording" tab (to get to this tab please right click on the CD/DVD-drive in "My computer" and choose "Properties").
If all above solutions will not work for you, please download the ISO image of bootable media from your account:
- Log in to your account (if you do not have one, you will need to create it);
- Once logged in, click My Products & Downloads:
- Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:
- Click Download:
-
Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. See Burning an ISO Image.
Please let me know if the issue is not resolved.
Thank you.

What usually works in this situation is to leave the tray open when you put the blank disk in. The process will close the tray on its own.
Another cause is when you have InCD running - as shown by an icon in the Tray. Disable this temporarily if you use it - most people do not use it and it gets installed by default.

I have been having a similar problem with TI Home 2010 Plus Pack build 7046. I was able to create a boot CD prior to installing Plus Pack without any special procedures. After installing Plus Pack, I would consistently get an "Invalid Media" error after the program had apparently written the files to the CD-R. After reading this and similar threads, I used the Bootable Rescue Media Builder program and did not put a CD-R into the drive until I got an error from the program and it opened the tray. Then I put the disk in, cleared the error dialog, and let the program close the drive. This time, the process completed successfully.
I have no 3rd party CD burning software on the PC in question, which is running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The only other significant change I made in the system between installing TI Home 2010 initially and adding the Plus Pack, is that I upgraded the OS from Home Premium to Pro.

I had similar problem making a Rescue disk with Acronis True Image 2015 running on Windows 7. Then I tried making the ISO image file first. and dropping it onto a formatted CDR 52X disk. That seemed to work -- whether it did or not, I may not know till I need it. There ought to be a way to know *before* I need it! --JohnH
