raid 0 restore

Thread needs solution

i have been trying to do a restore using ti-10 on a windows xp system. i am assuming that ti does not have the raid drivers because no matter what i have tried, ti is showing them as two separate drives. i know it is set up correctly in the bios because i can do a clean windows install in raid 0 configuration. is there a way for ti to recognize the raid array?

Hello thenoser,

Sorry for the delayed response. No worries, I will help you to resolve the issue with RAID recognition.

Yes, you are right, the CD does not contain a correct drivers for your RAID.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (6053 for Acronis True Image Home 2010) which is available here. To get access to updates you should first register Acronis software.

Then please recreate a CD from the latest build. If this does not help, I'd recommend you to download the version which is based on another loader (the version has some extended list of drivers and startup parameters). We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging into your account (the serial number should be registered). This option is available for the current and (n-1) versions. Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Regards,

Hello Alexander, I am trying to do a restore on an XP-system using a TI 10-CD. The system normally starts up from an AMD hardware RAID 0. Whatever I tried, TI 10 does not recognize the RAID. I downloaded the latest version: 7046, but also this version does not contain the RAID driver. I tried to make a CD using BartPE but no result: although BartPE starts, nothing further happens. After showing a black screen, the startup begins again, on and on. As the RAID-driver has to be on floppy when one installs Windows XP, I can't get them on the CD using PE-builder. So I can make a backup but I can never restore it when Windows fails.
The SATA driver is: ahcix86.sys from AMD Tech. AHCI Compatible Contoller Driver for Windows family. The mainboard is Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H.

Can you help me to a bootable Acronis 10 ISO-download so I can burn it on a CD?

Many thanks, jollygood
