Raid ! use

Thread needs solution

Hello, I wanted to know if
1... Home 11 version is capable of backing up a Raid 1 setup with 2, 1 terrabyte drives.
2...If so will it only copy the C drive?

Are you talking about True Image Home v11 or 2011?

There are a couple of considerations for ATI 2011:
- if you have set up your RAID 1 in Windows (for example with Windows 7 Disk Management), you have now dynamic disks and you will need the ATI Plus Pack to support that,

- if you have set up your RAID 1 in the BIOS, you have most likely a hardware RAID controller. 2011 supports that. The thing though, is that you need to verify that the ATI bootable media (aka ATI recovery CD) can see your RAID as a single volume. If not, you will be able to back up, but not to restore.

- if your recovery CD can see the volume properly, you will need to create a disk and partition backup containing all the partitions that you put on that RAID1.

Hello, I have 2011 home version and win7 pro 32 bit. My board is intel DX58SO2 which is suppsed to have raid controller on it. Yes i used bios to setup raid 1 and operating system is showing only one terrabyte drive. So, should 2011 home work for back up and rstore?
Secondly i donot know what ATI is. I assume it must be somewhere in the program, but how would I be able to verify?
Thirdly would it only coPy just C drive or also waste space and copy the raid backup?
Lastly my C dive is only One Partition because people told me not to partition a raid 1 disk.

ATI stands for Acronis True Image. 2011 supports Raid 1. I have myself the DX58SO board.

Make sure you produce the bootable media and you test it to make sure it sees your RAID 1 disks as a single volume. It should.
