Re-establish Baseline Backup to Reduce Backup Storage Needs

Hi: I sent the following email to Acronis Support on Sat 12 May 2012, but have yet to receive a response:

I have been operating ATI 2012 apparently successfully, using automatic back-ups when at home, or in Florida for a prolonged winter vacation. However, when travelling for shorter time periods, I am forced to use a-periodic backups, since it is not convenient to always have my external Go-Flex Pro USB backup hard-drive connected.
As a result, I have now accumulated a vast array of backup files (see the attached MS Word 2003 file, extracted from my Windows Explorer window).
I need to reduce the storage requirements in this folder by either deleting out-dated files, or by re-starting the entire backup process from scratch, thereby deleting all of the current files in the folder.
I have just completed an upgrade process for ATI 2012 (to Update 2 build 7119, from build 6163).
Please advise the best approach for me to use.
