Really getting Frustrated.
We have been using ATI 2010 for some time and with a few minor issues have bee successful. Now all of a sudden, when we try to backup using an FTP connection, it times out. This is on a LAN, the FTP server has "No" outside connection, it is used solely for backups, absolutlely nothing else, not even AV software on it. Tried this with a Win2K Server (which has been in use for months). Tried on a Win2K3 and Win2K8 server. Same thing. Even tried using a Linux Box. Now this is "Not" a windows issue, this is an ATI 2010 issue.
By this I mean, it connects fine (confirmed credentials first), then started a backup using high compression, got to about 20% with 8 minutes left. Then stops, just stops - no progress bar movement at all. Waited a few minutes, then the progress bar went to zero. We thought it had done the backup and was starting the verification phase.
OH NO, not verifying - re-booting!!! Rebooting you say! YES... This is done from the Acronis Boot Disks, that it created and as stated has been in use successfully for some time.
This is not a good thing as we've recommended this to many of our clienst for backing up their systems. We have had two other reports this weekend of similar issues.
What gives here, reading all these posts on this site is rather disconcerting. This doesn't work, that doesn't work, SN issues and on and on and on...
Should one upgrade to Workstation Version? If so, are there going to be these issues with that products as well?
Moving back to Novastor may be our only solid option, needless to say, that would not bode well with our clients whom rely on us to make recommendations to them...
Please advise and hopefully have a fix.
ps: we've not downloaded any updates or new builds, why would we? If it works, don't break it...

Has anything changed at all - router connections, cables etc?
What time response do you get if you ping the FTP server?
Does the Windows based version have the same problem?
I take it this is a wired LAN.
When you say TI2010 has been working OK'ish for some time, are talking months or days?
What build of TI is this?
You didn't mention whether you've checked the RAM and disk integrity of both the system to be imaged and the FTP server. TI will choke if RAM is ever so slightly off, even if other programs aren't bothered. It also has problems if it finds a sector that it thinks is out of kink.
Are these full disk images or incremental/differentials?
